Hope all have fun today. Ridin loud and ridin proud. Right down main street. Vroom Vroom ;D ;D Well Did ya get any BBQ this time Or did they have security Had an absolute blast. Left Bass Pro and went down around 48th and went to the beach. Road down ocean all the way and I gotta say it felt great. Was a smidgy bad and reved it up some. Thank you for all who came I enjoyed the day and Big Buck and Little Buck next time we will come up to NC. The BBQ was to me a dissapointment as you could not get any KCBBQ. A BBQ sandwich was all and a bag of chips. The BBQ could have used more of something either sauce or seasonings or at least a choice of tangy or not. The cars were right cool to see and most said they ride around town. The highlight of the day tho was when John Rhodes came up to us and let us know he was next in the Dunk Tank. Dilligaf took a picture ( the before one ) and we ran, well fast walked, to the donation table. Armed with softballs we started. Contestant no 1 went 0 for 3 and then moved up a bit and Down came JR.Actually he might have went all the way up. I didn't see nothin. I think I threw my shoulder out and missed a rare opportunity. Then the next participant brought JR down again. Splish splash... ;D ;D All in all a rare moment and one I will laugh at for awhile. I have to say the Mayor took it well. I am also quite sure he raised the most money in the dunk tank so Mr Mayor thank you for raising money for the Charity. And to all who rode what a great day. Pizza at Chris was right good as well.

Thought we saw you on 57. You and 3 others came around the corner when we were up that way in the afternoon. There is no newsite or website that is anywhere near as critical as this one including the Surge. But I call em like I see em. And yes I did have some fun including the Dunk Tank. Not everyday one can dunk the Mayor and it was for charity so thats a good thing.

Just got home from the weekend. Must say it was good to make a little noise on Ocean Blvd with Bird and crew on Sat. I personally don't feel we were a large enough group to cause any ill feelings, unless it was among any anti biker folks who saw or herd us and they were probably all at the BBQ. Heck they keep ill feelings so boo hoo to them. As for the BBQ, as Bird said, the cars were cool but I am still questioning if what I had qualifies to be called BBQ. There weren't a large number of people attending on bikes, but one thing the wife and I noticed was a lot of Harley Tee shirts walking around. Any body else notice that?? All in all I don't regret the trip down. Heck it was worth the trip to see the mayor in the dunk tank ;D ;D One thing I did notice on my return trip. Almost no traffic in MB on 17B until we hit NMB then was bumper to bumper Go figure that one

Ya Bird, that was us. We didn't have alot of free time due to work but we managed to spin around a bit. Ended up at Hurricanes down on the River for awhile.
I certainly respect your opinion but it'd be a cold day in hell before I'd be buddy'in' up with Rhodes. Sorry, the guys a liar and he makes me ill...

Sorry, the guys a liar and he makes me ill... i was there I wouldn't neccesarily say Bird "buddied" up to the mayor, rather he did what he suggested we do when he suggested this ride. We rode in and were respectful law abiding citizens at a public event. Didn't cause any ruckus. were just good ole bikers attending an event. Normal people on a different mode of transportation than most. Although I think Bird and the Mayor did shake hands and hug Just kidding. We showed ourselves as respectful citizens in the face of the enemy. takes a big man to put hard feelings aside and shake the enemies hand in public without confrontation in the face of the all those present. Didn't go in to cause trouble, just to get some good BBQ. Dang, the good BBQ part of the mission failed But thats just my opinion

... takes a big man to put hard feelings aside and shake the enemies hand in public without confrontation in the face of the all those present... Unfortunately, John Rhodes has demonstrated in my presence that he simply cannot do the same. Below are a photo and a video I took while in the food line at the TakeBackMay event a few months ago. John Rhodes - totally unprovoked - approached the biker pictured in a confrontational manner, shook his finger in the biker's face, and went on a tirade. I first took the still picture, then videotaped for a moment but couldn't hear what exactly John Rhodes was ranting about. (click on image to play video): I should note that this was shortly after John Rhodes had Tom Rice move Rhodes' ILLEGALLY parked car, so John was a bit irritated (as usual) anyway. And Tom Rice, immediately after moving the mayor's ILLEGALLY parked car - and moments BEFORE John Rhodes confronted the biker above - did an interview with WRNN/Myrtle Beach Herald's Steve Porter, with no mention of just moving that car minutes prior, however (click on image to play video): By the way, I witnessed Chuck Martino commit a similar unprovoked confrontation with a city hotel owner not long afterward (sorry for the color problem, such things can happen with stealth camera settings): These current city officials just plain are INCAPABLE of being civil and nonconfrontational - and MUST be replaced...

Hey Buck... By stating that you were just "law abiding citizens at a public event" cuts to the core. WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THAT!!!! Going there to prove it (somehow) makes everything that has ever been said or done to protect our rights as citizens in Myrtle Beach a moot point. I'm sure you guys have been put under a lot of pressure from the BOOST and HELP folks but shaking hands with a liar and thinking all is well (for the sake of a good sandwich) is, in my opinion, unthinkable! (...just my opinion)

(...just my opinion) Never said that I thought all is well. I still think Rhodes is scum. I merely meant to imply that all involved acted civil in each others presence for once. Doesn't mean anyone has surrendered And furthermore, we or at least I, didn't go to prove anything. Went to ride with some friends, see the cars and check out the BBQ competitors

I'm sure you guys have been put under a lot of pressure from the BOOST and HELP folks but shaking hands with a liar and thinking all is well (for the sake of a good sandwich) is, in my opinion, unthinkable! (...just my opinion) I guess the first thing I would like to clear up as I have stated in my previous posts is the the sandwich wasn't all that. There was no BBQ to be had but one type of sandwich and a bag of chips. The money went to the Shriners so I am only going to be but so critical. As to us attending a function that was open to the public I feel the ones who stay away are actually doing a disservice to the cause. The haters feel they ran you off. Well not me; I will attend any thing I want to from now on Didn't go to see the Mayor and wasn't aware he would be there but acting civil in public is better then living up to their low expectations. Didn't go for a photo op. As for HELP I do not have a link to them on my site neither do I converse with them. So there is no pressure from them and I do not care what they do. I do converse with BOOST and work with them on projects that are mutually beneficial. No one has put any pressure on me from that group. I do however choose to support those that support me. As to having anything to prove to anyone that isn't me or anyone who went. As a law abiding citizen I can go and attend anything I want to. I just chose to do it in the City with Friends. Others that choose not to it is your call. I feel that those who choose to stay away could be viewed as saying the City was right. We are just a bunch of hooligans. Until the Supreme Court rules and the elections have happened there is nothing more we can do and I am going to live my life as I always do and not let the City or the Haters change what I do and where I go. Those that wish to live in a self imposed exile may do so. Who actually wins in that case?

Well said Bird
The lack of our presence at public functions gives the haters a sense of accomplishment. The more presence we make the more they will feel their efforts are failing. I assumed the whole idea from the beginning was to maintain presence. As for the boycott I don't think helping the shriners or other non city controlled charities is giving in.
