And it's the shameful TRUTH, I'm still waiting 3 years and waiting. Still have not been sent my records. Did you notice the SC flag on the building. I will bet it is the same place in Columbia I have been dealing with for years. Interesting in my case they denied my hearing loss was service related even tho I was the guy who pulled the lanyard from 3 ft away for 155mm and 8 in repeatedly. They did this without ever performing a hearing test or seeing a audio specialist. Still haven't. My file is half the size of the one shown on the TV special. My situation is minor to many on the interview so I just hope the more serious cases will now get some attention.

Bird 3 years is to long to wait for your records, I got mine fairly quick just have to see the right people and the right paper work. I forwarded the link to my friend at the local VA office here in Fayetteville, NC he likes that kind of stuff. He got me a phone number for me for my cousin who's out in CA and just found out he has Type 2 Diabetes as I do from agent orange exposure so he can start his paper work. He'll call me tomorrow or the next day and I'll ask him for a point of contact in your area or where you'll need to go to speed up the process. In the last 6 months I've had my hearing test here at the old Womack Army Hosp, Va has an office there and my physical in Winston-Salem NC where I was bent, folded, spindled, gropped, poked , x-rayed and passed out during the breathing test, so now it's a waiting game, but I do know my friend checks it several time a week and it's ready to rate so hopefully I'll know something soon. The magic number is 50% or better, I'm at 20% now. So I'll see if he can get me some info for you, oh did I mention he's also a BIKER!!!! ;D Attachments:

C52 Any help from anyone is appreciated. Have contacted Henry Brown's office but now that he has announced his retirement I am not sure how much he can do. I just keep wacking the nest. My glucose levels all of a sudden were right high and the DR asked if I was exposed to herbicides and I said funny you ask. I put in a request to be tested for that 8 months ago and the VA said they don't test for that only for specific diseases. I swear it is like going through a corn maze. I will say that the MB Clinic and Charleston VA Hospital are top floor. Nothing but praise for their treatment and attitude. As for the VA Benefits office it is Delay , Deny, And hope that I Die. Sorry if that offends anyone but I call em like I see em. Told my Dad a year ago I think they are hoping my ultimate demise comes before my benefits. Thanks for the help and good luck.

Bird & others,
When seeking Veterans benefits I went to Mr Allen of the Horry county Veterans assistance office:
Mr Wendell Allen 915-5480 915-6480 2830 Oak St , Conway. For reasons unknown the Horry County online listing is incorrect.
He is well informed and was extremely helpful to me. His expertise in preparing my forms, knowing the "prefered" language & Medical terms surely sped the process for me.
The Hospital in Charleston seems pretty good for the most part. They gave me a chest x-ray & reported to me several other observations including metal traces from an old GSW that I was not claiming.

I did get 2 phone numbers the first one you posted another phone number for down in Georgetown is 545-3330 both are county VA offices and should be able to get the ball rolling for our VETS. The big thing here is persistence and patients and survival!!!! ;D Good Luck Attachments:

Wendell was referred to me from Congressman Browns office. I saw him 2 weeks ago. It takes about a month and a half to get an appointment but he took me as a walk in when I showed him my file. All he could do was shake his head but he seems like a take charge kinda guy. Told me to see him only so I hope maybe now things will start to happen. Back to waiting. I plan to go and try and see him next week. Hope springs eternal
