Here it is, the usual BS, any time a local govt passes some stupid laws it's all about safety, This is from the NPR article "So why would a resort city pass a law that's scaring off tourists — especially in this economy? "Leaders here say safety was one motive". Here at home in Fayetteville, NC our city council passed a law reducing the speed limit in neighborhoods from 35 to 25 all in the name of safety, but within days of the new signs going up the cops were out giving tickets, it was all about the money MB is just the opposite, yea it's all about the money but it's those with it want to keep those who don't down, all about the power Sorry about rambling but every time I here that thing's are done in the name of SAFETY I get pissed, it's the lamest excuse I've ever heard. OH did I mention that I'm a former Motorcycle Safety Founddation instructor, so I'm a firm believer in SAFETY for all the right, honest and true reasons, not just to control people The media is no help either

Hmmmmm, The Sun News has a direct link to the article now. Located under "Top Local News", titled, "Myrtle Beach helmet law fight makes national news on NPR" UPDATE: Scratch the info that it is located under "Top Local News". It is now located on the homepage under the story: Trial date set for Conway man accused of setting blaze that sparked wildfires In case they move it again, the following was captured from their webpage as proof it was there. (keep scrolling, it is next to last)) Trial starts for Myrtle Beach Speedway co-owner * Two Coastal Carolina University students test positive for swine flu * Tow companies push back against Horry County * Renovated rec center offers more elbow room in North Myrtle Beach * Myrtle Beach pier project hurries up * Police | Officials put name to man pulled from ocean in Myrtle Beach * DSS worker charged with pointing gun at Coastal Carolina students * Horry County woman not guilty in driving death * Myrtle Beach helmet law fight makes national news on NPR * Domestic violence victims break the silence GEEEZZZZZZZZ...now it is back under the "Top News" heading. Just trust me, it is there "somewhere" They move and/or make stories disappear faster than any newspaper I have ever seen.

I am inclined to agree. Whether all businesses will admit it or not they are begging for business and cutting their rates lower than I have seen in decades. For example, I received an email from Crown Reef yesterday. Their rates were astoundingly LOW even for off season rates. Halloween Special, oceanfront, private balcony, breakfast for 2 and 3 o'clock checkout...$39.00 a night. Nov. 1st-30th...the rates drop to $29.00 a night. To give an idea of Crown Reefs regular rates, (at least during Bike Weeks prior to the new ordinances..I have no idea their rates this year cause I stand by, Not a Dime ) In the past, we never stayed at Crown Reef because it was cheaper for us to rent a two bedroom, 2 bath, oceanfront with 2 balconies penthouse at a different hotel than to rent a regular room from the Crown Reef)

Pan. Could you put that add up on the site under... How Low Will They Go. I couldn't get it to copy. Just goes to show the numbers being put out by the Take Back May supporters are as false as they can be. They get more then that at Motel 8 on 95 then an oceanfront Motel in MB. The truth will set you free. Cleen Sweep. ALL MUST GO

(I couldn't get the pics to post but the written info did so I figured that was the most important part anyway) For those that do not know, the Crown Reef is not a dump. It is a very nice resort. Go to www.crownreef.com Once there, Click on PHOTO GALLERY...and see for yourself why 29 bucks a night for this place shows how bad MB is hurting.
