I can't believe what I just read!!!! I really, really, really hope that the news was there to cover this. Especially news from outside the area. Everyone who is capable of recording the news, please do so. And I am especially glad that someone scanned the invitation to the party.
I see it in the near future, lawsuit, lawsuit, lawsuit, etc....

Been following this story and reading the comments people are leaving online about it. Lots of support for the bikers, then of course GabbyFabby and his anti multiple personalities shows up trying to look like more than he is..but anyway I came across this post.
mbbeachbelle wrote on June, 10 : First of all...did any of you people even think of the outcome of getting rid of bike week on the economy...or the jobs?? No..you think about getting rid of noise and traffic!! WELL HERES A WAKE UP CALL...I am a GM of one the best resorts on the beach, and I will tell you what happened during bike week...25 staff were laid off due to no business for the month of May. Occupancy levels were only at 30%. Short term, people were fired...long term, some hotels will shut down because they cannot afford to stay open. You think there is hidden money in the pockets of these bars and hotels...THINK AGAIN....They are privately owned, and suffer financial problems same as everyone else...So the next time you think you know...get a clue...And the council will not be re-elected...especially by the majority of business owners...Tourist is all myrtle beach is about...and when you lose the tourists...you lose businesses and Myrtle Beach!!!

According to another post that I am including, people wearing HELP t-shirts were not allowed in either.
I am anxious to hear from those here who went and get their take on things. I admire them and thank them from the bottom of my heart. IMO, the Take back May people probably made sure their side would be represented. How much dumber would they have looked if they didn't preplan it for it to look like they had alot of people on their side? November will tell the truth about the real numbers on their side. _______________________________________ prefabspappy wrote on June, 10:
I was there. I watched the council people pat themselves on the back. Yes, there were plenty of people there. Does FREE FOOD have anything to do with it? There were also many homeless people there loading up. Motorcycles were not allowed to park in the Depot parking lot. There weren't that many bikers there, probably because of the pipe ordinance.
People wearing the HELP T-shirts were also denied admission. It was one big fairy tail. The City Council should be ashamed of themselves for "celebrating" what they had done.

Okay everyone just got home from Party and I have to say it turned out great there were 100 or so protestors and that many or more people there supporting .Alot of interviews were done on both sides . There were security officers hired for crowd controll and they would not let Motorcylce park on Train Depot lot and I f you wore any kind of shirt protesting you were not allowed into party .... I am glad to see all homelees coming to get free meal since city siad yesterday they would not allow people to feed them in park anymore ... I also got my 1st helmet ticket also tried to get cop to follow around block but got caught at red light missed by 1/2 block . Officer very polite professional and laughed when gave reason not wearing helmet .. Told him Bike is Register in State , Licences are with state and State law syas under 21 has to wear helmet and city can not superseed State he just laugh they are not allowed to comment on tickets anymore ... Another Great Day In MB .... Range Master for City Council ....

I was the first to have a confrontation with a security guard. Myself and a truckload of others pulled into the lot at about 10:35 a.m.. As I opened the back and began to remove the protest signs the guard told me that I could not have them on the premises and the shirt I was wearing was not allowed. I was told this was a "private event" and that I was not invited. When I explained that Mayhem invited everyone the guard said "Yes, but not you folks". Following a ten minute, sometimes heated, confrontation, I decided to move my truck across the street and avoid arrest. We picketed the entire scheduled time of the event and were never approached by the actual Police. At this point we can only rely on the Media to give us a fair shake and actually air and publish some of the interviews they did. Will they is yet to be seen... Stay tuned....

My article for mags .... About 100 or so protestor showed and there were as many for City. Got to Train Depot were party held and entering parking lot we got stop by Security Police saying could not park on this lot no bikes allowed one rider stopped and said I pay taxes in city I own business in city and this is against my rights they said sorry can’t allow you to park here same man and daughter went into party stood in line got plate of food with people and cameras watching they both threw whole plates in trash in protest.. At about same time another protestor park his truck on lot got out and had shirts FUMB, Mayor Rhodes Suck, they were also told to either remove shirts or leave property when he started to question Security, they said they would lock him up if did not remove shirt or move so he park his truck across street and pulled out 8-10 protest sign and people were so willing to picket and it was done up and down street whole time party went on.. Next it was time to go into party well here they go again they were people there wearing protest shirts nothing vulgar , HELP [Help Eliminate Lousy Politician]AND BATT [Bikers Are Tourist Too..] and they were told you can not enter with anything protesting City or event so again security had hands full turning them away … I went into party and Mayor and Council were going around being thank by all there ,what is funny is most were grey hair retired people , recognized few business owner but mostly retirees … When I left the party got my 1st Helmet Ticket, thought would due protest ride around block did not make back to parking lot ½ block short. Officer was very polite and professional and when he ask me why no helmet told was protesting the Ordinance; Told him; My bike is registered in State of SC My license contract is with State of SC And State helmet law says 21 and under must wear helmet eye protection City can not supersede State so …. He just smile and said we are not allowed to comment on ordinance anymore... Told him thanks for ticket he started to tell me court dates or can pay and I said wont pay and will fight to end , which now will probably get thrown out of court …. Another Wonderful Day In MB …. MB Is Tourist Town Not Retirement Community …

Letter sent out by fast fred Venimus, Vidimus, Vicimus Thanks to all the bikers who took part in today's efforts the truth and lies are being aired in the paper for all to read. Jim Crow is rearing his ugly head in Myrtle Beach. I wonder how many golfer that ride will choose to play golf along the grand strand or spend a dime in Myrtle Beach during golf outings or family vacations? However I am uncertain of the legality of turning away folks based on skin color or means of conveyance. What happened to the civil rights act? On the other hand the crooks in the City of Myrtle Beach have no respect for the law; they still thank Jim Crow is the law of the land it would seem. I wonder if this could violate the terms of "Take Back May's" tax free status? I am sure the Members of ABATE of Horry would welcome the folks from "Take Back May" at this Saturday's ABATE meeting for some honest discussion and debate. Remember to support the local Myrtle Beach bikers in their fight. Horry ABATE is doing a fine job networking with other concerned citizens in Horry County. Keep up the good work, FF PS - I have posted some new video and photos from the past month at www.fastfreds.com with more to come soon!

"we can only rely on the Media to give us a fair shake"...Per the ticker during WMBF 4, 5, & 6 pm news, they are not giving us a fair shake...it states that this picnic became "ugly" after the bikers showed up. I would like to know when and where things got "ugly"! Was there the entire time and everything was done in a peaceful manner. ;D
