In some MB style amazement this group thinks you should pay to see the traveling wall. I guess makin a buck on the backs of vets who come to pay homage is ok to this promoter/town Oregon International Air Show to charge admission to view the Vietnam Wall The Oregon International Air Show and the Hillsboro Airport have announced they will be charging a General Admission Fee to view the Dignity Memorial Vietnam traveling Wall during the Hillsboro Air Show August 28,29,30 2009. This will be the first time in the history of the Wall that any organization has charged a fee for anyone to view and pay their respect to the 58195 Men and Women who gave their life in Vietnam. The fee will be waived if you're on active duty or a retired veteran with the proper I.D and a copy of your DD214. Even family members of soldiers on the wall must pay. The Vietnam Veterans of America and the Hall-Howell Chapter 512 are asking All Veterans to join together and tell the sponsors of the Air Show and the State of Oregon that we will not tolerate or accept this kind of disrespect of our fallen soldiers. We ask that you get the word out to all veterans in your communities, veteran's organizations, churches and organizations that support veterans. Please show your support by contacting your local congressman, senators and anyone else that you may feel would be a help to prevent this from happening. And boycott the Air show To contact the Oregon International Air Show: oregonairshow@comcast.net Phone# 503-629-0706 Fax# 503-716-8870 Hillsboro Airport 3355 NE Cornell Road Hillsboro, OR. 97124 Thank you For more information contact, brtsky12

I went to the website www.oregonairshow.com and if you go to the site you can click on the Update on the Dignity Memorial Traveling Wall. The article explains what the airshow was doing, and that they are no longer having the Traveling Wall at their airshow. Sounds like the united veterans voices were heard!! Just an update.
