I am overwhelmed at the corruption within MB. Having spent over 50 years visiting the Grand Strand, I became friends (more like family) with many people who live there. My heart became attached to the area mainly due to the wonderful people I met during my visits. My heart bleeds for what is happening to their city and their lives due to the selfishness and ignorance of their government and those pulling its strings. I have NEVER wished for the downfall of anyone...but I find myself hoping those responsible for destroying MB lose every dime they have (not likely to happen I know) but those responsible need to find out what it feels like to fear how they are going to pay their bills or feed their children like they have KNOWINGLY cast upon thousands upon thousands of citizens. (again, not likely to happen)... but....(venting again) The arrogant, mindless, heartless, unconsciousable rich in the area responsible for all the real "mayhem" might have control now (temporarily), but no amount of money can buy them a place in heaven come judgment day . I hope the devil mails me a postcard of their pics once they all "go to hell".

You won't see editorials like that in the Sun News.

I think the Carolina Forest Chronicle does a great job of telling it like it is. You won't see editorials like that in the Sun News.

If I understand correctly this is a 10 day event and the Mayor is paid 49 thousand dollars. That is 1 million 4 hundred 76 thousand dollars per year. Not bad for an entry level position into politics. Guess he can afford the Jaguar that we are paying for.

...Guess he can afford the Jaguar that we are paying for. And he CERTAINLY could have afforded the PARKING TICKET he SHOULD have got when HE did THIS on a CITY-OWNED parking lot (as witnessed by DOZENS of people - bikers, media, business owners,TakeBackMay members/supporters, homeless folks, etc): NOTE: YES, for those of you who don't know, that IS the mayor's car - and HE parked it like that.
To avoid further action: JOHN RHODES GAVE HIS KEYS TO (TAKEBACKMAY) CHIEF SPOKESMOUTH TOM RICE, JOHN RHODES HAD TOM RICE MOVE HIS OWN VEHICLE FROM A PROPER PARKING SPACE, AND MADE TOM RICE PARK JOHN RHODES' JAGUAR IN TOM'S FORMER PARKING SPACE.
Just ANOTHER example of the obvious CONSPIRACY between city officials and TakeBackMay - and the obvious INFLUENCE, POWER, AND CORRUPTION they have on/with each other.
