I’m really excited about the fact that we’ve been able to bring back to our community, respect,“ Rhodes said.
Is this Shiphead out of touch or what...

The Mayors blames his ire on an unfortunate incident that had nothing to do with Bike Week but he uses that as the catalyst to get rid of Bike Week. He does this with no knowledge of how much Bike Week brings in and no business plan to replace it. This cost the businesses and residents at least a 300 million dollar loss in May alone. He then uses RICO tactics to force his will on the surrounding communities. He then passes laws that are contrary to both the US Constitution and the State Constitution. His laws are called REPUGNANT by the Chief Justice a term this reader sees as fitting for the Mayor. He pays himself $49,000.00 to run the Beach Ball classic which brings in no income to the area and gives them free use of the Convention Center. The residents are paying for his house and Jaguar out of these funds and others. He raises taxes 3 million to advertise MB doesn't want tourists and then raises taxes 15 million to advertise that they do. He ignores the horrendous crime in MB because he can only see bikers when he sleeps. His daughter is on video showing how she feels about being part of the MB elitist crowd. My Daddy is the Mayor. Waaaa Waaa. MB is the recipient of many lawsuits and the Chamber is operating like it is a cookie jar for the few while taking from the many. Mr Hilton has yet to go to trial while the common folk cant sneeze without being hauled into court. MB is the punch line of a bad joke and the locals wear shirts that say FUMB and Not A Dime In 09. ROTFLMAO. I say Clean Sweep..

I was listening to WRNN''s morning show this past Monday about 8AM when Keith called in to make this announcement - providing some details, the date and time of the event this coming Tuesday, etc. The reaction of the show's hosts seemed like a "that's nice" comment and then they moved on. Usually, they'll at least repeat the events particulars (date, time, and place).

I've been waiting for BOOST to come up with some people for Mayor and the Council positions. Mark McBride even gave indication that he may run and with his campaign on the No Ad Tax and Rhodes messed up everything when he took over he may have a good chance.

My take is one of caution. it seems to me that if the Rodent is to be defeated this November, we need to decide on ONE candidate and ONE ONLY. if you throw multiples in the race, you will have the Rodent as your mayor once again. He has his following and they will vote for him . If we are unorganized in our voting and not in one clear direction then you'd better dust off your helmets.

I agree with slvrshadow 100%...
ONE candidate and ONE ONLY.
But you can't stop someone from running, but for no other reason than to dilute the votes...
Remember Ross Perot

Our most pressing concern is fair representation and as long as the Bentons, The Brittans and B&C call the shots the little man has no chance in this town.
