I like how the story started as a piece about how the Fall Rally was on and then that Fat jerk-off Porter turned it into an ad for the anti-bike crowd! Idiot!

While at dinner tonight my wife asked me if I thought the BS in MB will be over by the time the fall rally hits as they're a bunch of places in MB she likes to shop, but she agrees, not a DIME in 09 until rodent is out or the BS helmet ordinance is off the books. One of my favorites places to eat is at Broadway. Someone needs to light a fire under the SC Supreme Courts justices butts, I think they're dragging this thing out till the November election to see if rodent is still in power!!!

Chuck Be advised that B&C owns Broadway and is a supporter of the Mayor and a supporter of the actions taken by the City Council. I could tell you more but it is Birds opinion that any use of any business at Broadway at the Beach is a direct deposit to those that hate us

What kind of food are you looking for. I am sure we can let you know our favorites. The City actually did me a favor as I have found the County businesses are many and varied and as Geezer said. I am not missing anything in the City either.

Freebird, Do you have any indication how the merchants at Broadway feel? Broadway was one of the major vendor locations, why would B&C allow the vendors if they wanted the rallies gone?
Likewise, Broadway was a favorite stop, but no more.

Freebird, Do you have any indication how the merchants at Broadway feel? Broadway was one of the major vendor locations, why would B&C allow the vendors if they wanted the rallies gone? Likewise, Broadway was a favorite stop, but no more. When MB banned Vendors in May within the City I did not see one article from B&C opposing this. As a major political force and known supporter of the Mayor and City ( my opinion ) there was a message there. Wayne Gray owner of the Spring House Restaurants advertises Bikers Welcome on his restaurants and is on the City Council and voted for ALL of the ordinances. I think we all know his feelings yet he among others like him still advertise for Biker money. Some merchants in Broadway have said they do poorly during Bike Week and this year was bad for all as most rode by on 31 and never stopped in the middle part of the Grand Strand. Most activities were in NMB who pro actively advertised Bikers Welcome and the south end who did this as well. There are merchants there that are not on board with the Selective Tourism practiced by MB. Revolutions had meetings for HELP, and Rioz has always been tourist, local, biker friendly. When attending the Town Hall meetings the manager there immediately came over and asked why he had not seen me for a bit. I told him why and he just shook his head. Said he had not seen many in a while and very few this summer. I told him he has 2 problems. One is geographic and one is political. Change either and I will come back. There are no easy answers but one thing I know for sure. Any money spent that will end up in the hands of the Rhode's machine won't come from me. I am going to wait until the elections and see what happens. If there are no changes then I will abide by the decisions of the residents who voted and stay out of MB period. As Geezer said; I haven't missed anything in MB and neither have I. It is my hope that Horry County will be involved in the New Grand Strand Rally. But if not New Orleans had their first Rally last year and there are plenty of towns that want us to come. Just because I live here doesn't mean I cant go elsewhere and spend my money. All have told me Datona is just unreal friendly. In the end I will base my decisions on the will of the people. Few I talk to have much good to say about Rhodes and that includes many the campained for him. We shall see. Get the Popcorn ready and a Dr Pepper for the big show is about to start.

I feel the best way to send a message is not to buy ANYTHING that says MB Rally. Tell the vendors if it doesn't say either Horry County Rally or Grand Strand Rally you can burn them. If we all stick together they will get the message.Hope to see you when you come down
