I had to shorten my trip because of political issues at work, but came on Wednesday and had a blast! Thanks to all of the pro-rally businesses for making the week fun and interesting!

You came when I had to leave for a Disabled American Veterans Conference Thursday morning for the rest of the week. Thanks for covering for me Amsmith!

Hey All, I hope everyone had a great time this past week. I didn't make it for the full week, but rolled in thursday afternoon and stayed until saturday night. We had a blast as usual. We noticed ther were a few less bikes than normal, but that just made our travels around the area a little easier. We stopped in broadway saturday to see how dead it was and it definitely was. Only saw about 15 bikes in the whole complex parkinglot. I feel bad for those businesses, but unfortunately they're stuck between a rock and a hardplace being in the city limits. We even wore down the pavement in the city a few times just to pass thru and check things out. Was very quiet there...like a ghost town...hmmm, the shape of things to come maybe?? Only thing that I missed was seeing the FUMB on teh B&M Cycles sign. Wish it would have been there still. So I wonder what will happen in the fall. Hopw many vendors and where will they be allowed to set up? Will thsy fall under the new county ordinances too? The city has nothing on any month other than May as far as I know? Anyone know the scoop? Can't wait to see what happens under a new Mayor and council for nexy May's rally!....Ride safe everyone!

MD Thanks for coming down. Things were spread out more and we stayed away from MB as we were asked to do. I guess Not A Dime In 09 means just that. Fall Rally is on and will be I think more organized. With BOOST and HELP things will get better and better as some leadership qualities are being exercised. The AR numbers are getting smaller and smaller and I predict that trend will continue as more and more see just how affected all will be. It was 59 million 400 thousand dollars a day. Number of tourists 500,000 times $118.80/day ( Chamber numbers for a leisure tourist) equals 59 million 400 thousands per day. That was the opportunity that was lost for MB
