I have looked at different things and heard many comments and there is a big difference between the ABBW bike rally and the people who come here at the same time to hold a street party, aka, the freaknits. If the leos enforced the laws that are already on the books for cagers, this problem would almost disappear. After the freaknits leave, the ABBW bike rally would be as it was years ago. This is how I see it, but I could be way off base too. It's like the A/R people who lump the two rallies together. There are two gatherings during ABBW. That's the way that I am starting to look at this. Plus, why doesn't the leaders of the grand strand talk to the city of Atlanta to see how they ended the freaknit thing. Juts a thought, who the heck knows! WHERE'S MY CAFFEINE!!!!!!!!!!!!

The cagers are the whole problem in my opinion. The NAACP has sued so much that these freaks have the attitude the LAW can't touch them and that they can do whatever the hell they want. But that's just me.

If the leos enforced the laws that are already on the books for cagers, this problem would almost disappear. ABBW Attendance = 350,000 MBPD = 250 officers 350,000 / 250 = 1400 people per officer Now that is assuming that the entire MBPD (including admins) work 24 hours straight. So realistically i would think you would have 50 officers for 350,000 people. 350,000 / 50 = 7000 people per police officer. I don't know how they keep control of the city with numbers like that.

But I also think since they arrived in cages that they would not be considered a part of abbw. Hence, they would be ripe for the police! And if the naacp would say something, I would think that all the city would have to point out is abbw is a bike rally, not a cage rally! I guess that's where I was trying to go earlier. So again, does the naacp still have power even over this type of crap? If so, then something is really, really wrong with the legal system.

It's not that they have REAL power, it is that the municipalities are afraid of being tied up in court, even if they feel that they are in the right, by such an outspoken organization. The only power they have is the ear of the media. Of course, I believe that there is no need for the NAACP in a modern society, but that's a discussion for another time and place...

If the cages were taken out, There would be less than 100,000 bikes attending BBW. I go to DC on memorial day, but from what everyone else I know says the cages deliberately tie up traffic by blocking intersections and all other kinds of things. It burns my arse that our rally has to pay the price for GOVERNMENT IDIOTS. There is No doubt that MB is overwhelmed by Both Rally's but there are solutions.

OK - I may sound like an idiot, but what is the freaknit party?? FREAKNIK is a festival or rally or whatever that used to be held in atlanta and they ran them off years ago.. Kinda like a mardi gras for people that have no other classification than being a freak. I'm understood there are all kinds of weirdo's that attend not just young blacks in the hoopty mobiles.

As long as everything goes smooth & lawful without any significant problems before May 17th that's all that matters as far as our Spring Rally is concerned. Then it will be black and white (not referring to skin color )as to the real problems and can't be ignored anymore.

Beach You are so right. I just hope we are not lumped together. Either way I think it would be best to have few problems with the HD Rally. Come all and have a good time but don't give the AR folks any ammunition.
