Do any of you locals know if there is a restaurant or cafe that is ocean front on Pawleys Island. I've been on the Island a few times on my bike but did not see the pier or any place to eat. Just scouting out different places to eat while down in May that are motorcycle friendly. Thanks

It has a very nice beach and is a bit less crowded down there. A favorite of many is the Pawleys Island Pub. It is at the light which is an entrance to Pawleys Island and is on the right when heading south back in the woods. Hard to find but great food and usually decent outdoor music at night.

Thanks Bird, since we avoid the city every year we look for new places to try when cruising around on the bike. There was a little Italian place we found that was pretty good on 17 north going toward Little River. I thought it was odd because it had this big pole for a bill board right in the middle of their little parking lot. We also took that ride one year up to Wilmington then stopped at the aquarium and Fort Fisher then on down to the ferry and back across. That was a great ride.

Ft Fisher and the Aquarium is a neat trip. Bald Head Island is a nice day trip as well. If you go the 5th house on the left as you enter the harbor is Bill Cower's house. It is the yellow one. Villa Tuscanna I think is the Italian Resturant you are talking about. If not they are one of the best. There is also an Italian Resturant on the left heading North all by itself in Little River and it is very good as well. If you want to go when you are down I will look up the name and meet you.
