A Note from Tom McGrath regarding the next court date and the upcoming Freedom Ride:
The date is set for hearing on Motion for Summary Judgment/ Writ of Prohibition in Horry County Circuit Court on February 24th at 10:30 AM, court room 3D. The court will be hearing our motion to have the ordinances declared unconstitutional (helmet and muffler only) and the Writ to Prohibit the City of Myrtle Beach from setting up the Administrative Hearing Court.
It is expected that all who attend conduct themselves with great civility and demonstrate our good composure at all times. We do not know whether the court will enter a ruling that day or not.
I will be staying in Myrtle Beach for the ride on Saturday, Feb. 28th. I am requesting all who plan to ride to take pictures of your bike from every angle and that the pictures bear a date and time if possible so if any are confiscated and damaged there will be photographic proof of their condition prior to confiscation. Without complete photographic evidence we cannot hope to recover for any damage done as a result of confiscation.

Am I the only one who thinks our lawyer got his ass handed to him? That's three times now that the city has won in court. Maybe our lawyer did one too many endos on his bike. This Freedom Ride seems sorta dumb, now that the court turned him down. Betcha we're all going to be paying those tickets, and he's going back to Virginia. Usually, when the court says "no" the lawyers listen. I want a new lawyer!

You locals should know by now that was planned before you even got to the court room. The only way to get anything done is when it goes infront of the SC Supreme Court or to the federal courts to someone that is not a friend of the mayors or council. All these judges are doing is side stepping the issues because they dont want to miss tee time with Mayor Thoads

None of this is going to be resolved anytime soon. Ya Gotta Have patience!!
