hey howardstern, thanks for all the help. I am from Pa and I have been adding my 2 cents to the fight. I personally will not have my freedoms attacked by a bunch of idiotic politicians. This to me is about freedom. Something this country was founded on.
I would like to personally be there for the ride, without my helmet, but I don't think it's going to happen. The weather and the job are not cooperating in our favor. But I will make sure that many news people know about it.

I'm still on the fence.... I agree with Geezer. I've made a vow to myself to stay clear of the city and this ride puts me in the heart. However, I fully understand the need to have large numbers turn out for this ride in order to make a statement that bikers refuse to be crapped on by stupid ordinances that are illegal. I guess I'll know what I'm doing around 10:30 Saturday morning?

I have heard some people say that they are going on this ride but they are wearing helmets. What's the point in that? I thought the whole idea of the ride was to protest the city over-riding a state law. If you wear a helmet, what are you protesting? I still haven't decided if I will go on this ride or not. It does go inside the city limits, a place where I don't care to go. If I do decide to go, I won't wear a helmet. To helmet or not? After all, it is a personal choice per SC state law. I'm still making my helmet choices, what do ya think DILLIGAF? will this work?

Hi all... New here. A friend told me to come on over and check it out. Nice place you got here... Anyway, I agree with Geezer and Outhouse on some level but if the numbers for this ride are not HUGE it truly defeats the purpose. Itoo though don't want to spend money (even ticket money) in MB Turning my back on the problem will not make it go away, solidarity is the order of the day. The reason the county will follow the city is because we are not making our numbers known. If even to show-up at the Beaver and ride as far as the HD shop . As for me ... ( I'M GOIN' IN) . Hey, I don't have the extra $$$ either . However, remember, The city , after learning of our intentions on the 28th , is now claiming they are NOT enforcing the laws till the next day. (the cowards are running scared) If they are running... I'll keep chasing . I'll be in their face. I hope you will all join me, but if you don't... I understand.

Welcome to ibiker and well said. We had a saying in the 70's that I know you will understand. It was: We Are Going DOWNTOWN. Freedom isn't free. Sometime you have to STAND and be counted. To me this is one of those times. To those who choose otherwise I respect and support your decision. Unlike some other sites name calling will not be tolerated to those who's opinion is different. However I would ask all undecided to ask this question. If not now... when ? As for the Bird and Dilligaf. We will burn a MB Bike Week shirt and are going DOWNTOWN. Just my opinion.

How the green goes with your fur. You should smile though, or is that your Rhodes face? lol Where do you come up with these pix of yours? I know it's probably a secret, where you'd have to kill me if you told me, right?

""I too am undecided as if I`ll go or not. One reason is if I get ticketed a hundred dollars for not wearing a helmet and have to pay the fine Myrtle Beach will then use that money against me and further their cause against bikers.""
If you get a ticket and fight it in court, it will cost them far more than $100. I will treat MB just like any other state that tries to force me to wear a helmet. When I Ride, I Decide.

I guess that post was directed at me. I aint quite figured things out here yet. The only bad PR will be if some of the participants have been drinking. With the new DUI laws, if you get stopped on the Run they can ticket you for having ONE BEER. Not Good on a Protest Ride. But I'm not a Cop and I sure as H aint gone tell nobody else what to do. The people I ride with SEEM to have enough sense to take care of themselves. HehHeh! I'm all for Civil Disobedience. Our nation was founded on it. There is strentgh in numbers and we got a Free Lawyer. That sounds like an Oxymoron, Free Lawyer. I'll have to ponder that one some more.

Morning everybody, Could someone take a pic of the new signs and post it? I would love to see that! Well, maybe I won't get a chance to. It'll probably be turned over tomorrow or whenever the court date is.
