Wonder why the MB business group "BOOST" was in Datona the other day paying banner planes to fly banners saying Myrtle Beach 09 Spring Rally is on, Bikers Welcome, they were also handing out hand flyers...

Ghost I am not sure I understand your point about the pavilion.
Doug The group Boost was formed by Tom Herron and is a growing and large group of businesse people ( 450 ) at last count that has broke from the Chamber of Comedy and decided to fight for their rights alone. They knew the City would be in Daytona and went there spending their own money to fight for the HD Rally. I have Hotels begging to go on the site and we also hear some are doing well. It is hard to tell what the Rally will be.

Glad to see the business people have stepped up... Too bad they didn't join us in August!

There is one business in the City that we shouldn't boycott and that would be "The Dog House". "The Dog House" has always supported Bikers and is also one of the Defendants in the Lawsuits against the City of Myrtle Beach. Why boycott some one that's put in the position we are?

I agree beachbikers1, I believe in Not A Dime In 09, However I have to patronize his business, he has spent $ out of his own pocket in the fight for what is right, Wifey Poo and I are planning on eating and having a few beers there just for that reason.

You will notice they are in the recomended section as is the San Marcos Hotel. I agree.

They have always had a nice set-up during bike week. My buds and I always try to make it by there. I agree, though I might have to borrow a cage to get there, so my bike doesn't get impounded...

The Dog House always supported bike week. They also had tons of banners and fliers at the Daytona Rally saying MB Bike Week is still on. I would also like to know where those hotels were a year ago. I remember walking Ocean Blvd when BOOST formerly BOAST was getting started asking these same businesses to help with our cause and all I got was people that wanted to help but would do nothing and did not want their name on anythihg fighting the city. I believe the not a dime in 09 campaign will open these businesses eyes on what doing nothing and being intimidated by the city has done for them. Nothing. Now the time they could have spent helping us fight this ridiculous city they can spend figuring out ways to replace the money and business they will lose this May!

Don Emery the owner of "The Doghouse South" and "The Steel Horse Saloon" has given my a hand on the Dayton Bike Week.Com website forum and take some of the load off of me. He has the only City businesses that I am supporting. BOOST also has a website and is really pissed with the Mayor with the lies that he made about them supporting the City with their campaign. Here is BOOST's website for the Rally: www.grandstrandrallies.com/

Thank you, Boast, Boost and you guys for all the time spent and all the meetings you attended and spoke at. You have stood with us, as Don has, from day one. It is because of all who stood that Bike Week will be here for my lifetime and beyond. The Mayor however will I hope be a distant memory in November. For any who have not made reservations yet and want to stay outside the City there is a link to their website in recomended (lodging) It is the Super8 link. The San Marcos in the City has been there from day one as well. If you wish to stay in the City they could use a couple of reservations. Tell them Bird from ibiker say hi.
