after several yrs of attending the spring rallies i think i will opt to let the dust settle this yr to see how this all plays out.no offense to any of you local guys and gals but the place has got to be the laughing stock of the motorcycle world.i really enjoy all the entertainment and vendors but it takes thousands of attendees to make that all happen. i being in business for my self know you cant put these functions on knowing you will lose your butt. i boycotted mb last spring and stayed in pawleys island for the first time since i started coming mb and i must admit it was pretty darn nice and not to far off the beaten path.i really was in hopes that your election would help to turn things around for you and everyone but that just goes to show that Money Talks and Bull...t walks. i hope the helmet issue get struck down so at least you can have one victory out of all of this.i really like this site and will remain a close watcher to see how this all plays out and my thoughts are with you.i hope if this should all get sorted out that us out of townees would be welcomed back.have made reservations to attend Thunder On The Beach in panama city this april so being a first timer there if any of you all have been and would like to suggest a place or two to hang out and drink a stiff one im open. i already know i probably want find a S.B.B. or a BrokenSpoke,or a Drunken Jacks there. Thanks again for a great site to come and get info straight from the horses Mouth

kyhdman Thanks for your thoughts on our situation down here. You are not alone on your feelings. Do you have the date for Panama City and a point of contact. Let us know what you think of the Rally there. Be well

It seems that Thunder Beach is going to be HUGE this year, all I hear are people canceling here and going there. That will hurt us a lot as TB is only a week or so ahead of our rally and most won't go there and then come here a week later.
I may have to go to TB this year myself!

Thunder On The Beach.com I am definitely going to check this out. I am also hearing nothing but good things and a lot of people going. Heck I live here and would rather go somewhere else. No matter what if Shank is involved I don't want any part of it.

Thunder On The Beach.com When you go to destin keep going to fort walton beach you will get a nice ride across the bay bridge and the beaches in fort walton are MUCH ;D nicer than in panama city. When in PC the big thing we try to avoid are the paper mills they put off a rancid smell but they are towards the north end of the city and bay away from the beaches. My wife is from there and we lived there for a couple of years but its been awhile. If you go south on 98 you will end up in Port St Joe on the St Joeseph Bay that is also a nice ride. I cant remember the names of the places but they have some really good restaurants right on the bay and you can ride thru the barrier islands that enclose the bay (really nice). Only warning I have is the FLA highway patrol are A$$ES I got very highly harassed over a modulating headlight. trooper said FLA law overides federal laws on the headlights?
