Oh, goody! Seaside, you're going to find a big coffee pot for me.....how 'bout the rest of the gang? How do you feel about that, Freebird? Are you going to ride through? There's been a TON of debate on this. A lot of bikers are still going to stop at the Harley store. Great post, Seaside. You are right - the ride IS for the kids.

You got it Squeaky! I've already lined up some helpers to serve the coffee and snacks. No one has to spend a dime! I'll even import the coffee and snacks from Conway.
I understand both sides of this issue. But I guess I'm slightly a rebel most of the time, when someone tells me not to do something, heck that's about all it takes to fire me up and make me do it, just to piss them off!
I recently backed off this issue and I'm sorry for that.
I really think both purposes can be served here as long as it's not at the children's expense. Those who stop at the city line will still help the kids with their toy donations, the media will capture that and it'll send a message to the city; And for those who decide to ride into the city a few blocks to drop off their toy donations, they won't have to SPEND A DIME, they'll receive imported coffee and snacks free!

Awesome - you think of everything!
I still won't spend a dime in MB but I DO tip for good service. Your selfless attitude is much appreciated here and will be remembered!
This anti-rally sentiment won't last forever...

Hey Seaside, can we get an address/phone number and full name of Seaside?
I'd like to add it to the listing of biker-friendly establishments.

Squeaky, I'm not representing a business. I happen to live near the area. Just thought I'd help out if needed.
I've heard most are stopping at HD with their toys. I completely understand.
The event will be a success no matter where the drop off point happens to be. The kids of horry county will still receive their needed toys.

I can remember when the Mayor of Surfside would come out and cheer when we went by. Streets were lined with kids and golf carts. It is just different now. Too much has been said. I hope next year ABATE goes to Socastee and have the Horry County Council invited out to meet with us. Either way Merry Christmas to all.

I was thinking the same thing, Freebird. Love that catittude!
Are you going to stop at HD? How will you get your toys to McD's?
I'm caging Saturday - I have a box of toys to take. If you (and anyone else you know) wants me to take your toys on through, I'll be happy to.
Look for me in a blue GMC Sierra that has "Build A Gift" mats on the door.

Hey all. They are going to be collecting toys at the Mall for those who wish to give them there. With this great weather I hope it is a large turnout. Thanks squeak for also volunteering to take toys as well. Really looking forward to Christmas and hope all are as well.

Hey seaside, I looked for you today but couldn't find you. Sorry!
We had a great time today. I was the last in line as I was caging so I got to see the lo-ong line of bikes stretching beyond sight.
Didn't find you either, Mike. Then again, the crowd was enormous!

Send me some pics if you have any. Sorry we are running behind on the site but I am running trying to finish my house and bro is working 13 hour days. We promise to do better

Hey Guys! Excellent turn out and what a beautiful day to ride! I guess we all have to exchange photos so we'll know who is who! LOL! With the heat I didn't think coffee was needed, besides Bird and Co. we're holding out - heck I forgot to mention I'd bring the popcorn - LMAO I've seen a couple of news clips on the event. Wow, it's like a sea of bikes in the photos. I'm so glad the event was a success. If you just read the Un-News you'd think the only event was that HA took over the ride OK ~~Whatever~~ The Un-News and the freaks that constantly post there to get attention are an incredible waste of space! Take care all. I'm off to help the critters. BTW, Squeaky, I've named a young male kitty after you. LOL!! he has a cute little squeaky meow so the name fits. Merry Christmas to All!! Glad u like the gangster kitty pix
