Bird.. sorry I've been MIA..but the love is there...I promise...I have an opinion and you all know how they are,,,,but what if everyone rode in on their bike in their work clothing...ie,,, if you wear a suit to work ...ride your bike in a suit...Mayor Toads has made bikers out to be these God awful bunch of folks, when in reality we are your everyday...police officer, accountant, laborer, preacher, lawyer...and yes even politician. So I think everyone should ride in their work clothing......just and opinion.........But for the record...no Buck...you can't come in drag...lol Dang it!! i already been trying on ole ladies pink leathers. Shucks Can't make it anyway. TOOO much work to do

Wish I had a "Take May Back" shirt, I could had customized it to fit the occasion! There are still about 5 or 6 of those "TakeBackMay/Stop the MayHem" t-shirts for sale at the Goodwill Store along Bypass 17 Surfside. The building is just to the left (south) of the Lowes as you face it from the Bypass. They open at 9AM. The shirts are brand new and unworn, several in sizes large and medium. They're on the t-shirt rack near the middle of the store; the t-shirts are organized by color - just go the section with the lime green shirts, and there they are (though mixed in with some other shirts, browse for ALL of them). Price is about $3.79 each. HURRY AND GET THEM BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE DOES!

I invite and encourage all board participants and guests to review all the posts in THIS thread - and realize just how prophetic they were. IN CONTRAST - isn't it just a total shame that the City of Myrtle Beach and TakeBackMay folks demonstrate a total LACK of anticipating things, and seem to only engage in reckless actions that carry many negative consequences?

Bird, you did a great job speaking to the media people and others that wanted a story but as usual they all preferred to print and televise their own and the lies made up by the "Take May Back" People, the Mayor & City Council. Just like the 700 supporters they had and only 20 bikes counted just to name a couple of lies. Bird you always do a great job period. It's going to take people like you with our support to get this job done and I would feel proud to be there to help you accomplish this.

Beach Thanks for the compliments. I know you and others got my back. It is and always will be a combined effort by all and I am only one person. But like the site motto. Out of one came many. We are now many and a growing coalition of bikers, businesses, local riders and non riders, and out of state tourists. Trust me when I tell you the other side is scared. That is why they are doing what they are doing in the press. No mention of the Mayor getting booed off the stage during Sun Fest. No mention of what happened inside the train station and how they were challenged. The bad press along with not a dime. MB got its butt handed to it during the rallies. We will know in November but either way the AR crowd will know they have been in a scrap. Not A Dime In 09 & We Are Stronger Together
