Beach sorry if it seemed I jumped to conclusions about this on the Pluck board. A man named Quig started the movement in California. He's gone now but he fought the CHP for a long time. They finally quit writing him tickets and he wore a baseball cap. I don't have his site right now but I'll get it when I get time. In the meantime check out these places. rightsriders.ldrlongdistancerider.com or bruce@ldrlongdistancerider.com www.fastfreds.com FastFred has court briefs on his site from his fights in NC. www.bikers of lesser tolerence- B.O.L.T. www.bikerrepublic.orgThere are many more. That's OK Capt! This is the place to post information. If just one person is helped by anything that is posted on a forum it's worth all the work and time to gather the information. It probably took my over 2 hrs. to gather all that info and if someone just used it to look up their helmet it was all worth it. You've added some info which I found very interesting and need to read further. But between Bird, myself and many others post useful information that some can use or find interesting. So keep it up, we all need to know as much as we can to bring down City Hall. I e-mailed Tom Leath before we did the protest ride. I requested a list of helmets. His reply was that the City goes by The Snell Foundations guidelines and also ANSI. If you get time, read Snell. The more them government paid, Socialist, SafetyCrats talk the Stupider they sound.

Does anyone have a copy of the actual ordinance regarding helmets as it is written ie. Code Section etc. I have looked on the MBPD site and can't find it....or has one ever been published. (Disclaimer..it could be posted here somewhere and I overlooked it) Thanks

Every exemption they do just makes the Class Action Law Suit closer to a reality. Make no mistake that Bikers are being targeted. All are encouraged to write the ACLU in Charleston if you feel Discriminated against

I loved this mornings headline..... "New law takes away tailgating in Myrtle Beach"Guess Toad didn't think about his beloved "Sports Tourism" when they were writing these new laws. This situation is really starting to get funny now that Toad & The Hand-puppets have once again goofed up and targeted America's favorite game and it's traditions. Thank God we don't have a football team, I hear the tailgaters at those games actually do make some noise! !

Hmmm - sounds like, if this ordinance stands, it's time to break out the cameras and video gear in the Convention Center's parking lots and landscaped areas late this year during the Beachball Classic. The Convention Center is NOT a "sports venue". ANY group of persons who even stand around talking in the parking lot, etc would be in violation of the ordinance. Note: For those not aware - the long-time director of the annual BeachBall Classic is Mayor John Rhodes; he gets FREE use of the Convention Center for this event. www.beachballclassic.com/
