We as bikers need to counter his effort with our own letters to the mayor and council.

So far so good! The ten day Harley rally was not disruptive in the city of Myrtle Beach. There was more activity north and south, but far more tolerable than in past years. We have made a great start toward returning our family beach reputation.
The effect of our effort on Bikefest remains to be seen.
We must remember that none of this would have happened without the courage of every member of the Myrtle Beach City Council.
From day one everyone knew this was a very divisive issue. When most politicians would have run for cover, the Myrtle Beach city council took a strong stand. They said ENOUGH to the crime and filth. They said ENOUGH to the strip joints, biker bars and tattoo parlors.
Every day last week the Sun News ran a front page story on how the biker bars were not as crowded, the vendors weren't selling enough tee shirts, or the body piercing business was off 50%. Not one story was written
about the drastic drop in traffic accidents inside the city, about the fact that there was NOT ONE MOTORCYCLE FATALITY INSIDE THE CITY, about the residents who could finally sleep at night, or about the decision to give up the fast buck and return to a more family oriented beach.
I can assure you that our city council members are getting pounded right now. The biker bars, tattoo parlors, and strip joints have been dealt a
major blow and they are fighting back.
Below I have listed the email addresses of every member of city council. Please take just a minute to send them an email to let them know that you appreciate their effort to End the Mayhem, and return our town to the family beach it used to be.
