Real good enforcement of the new laws!!!! ;D ;D ;D Be careful dilligaf1. I sat in traffic today and saw many bikers being pulled over for NOTHING. The had lids on, not making noise - Hell I was sitting next to them talking on my cell phone. Their bikes were quiet. I pulled over to see what they got stopped for and was told I'd better move along or I'd get a citation??WTF??? It seems crossing the waterway bridge no longer takes you to MB it takes you to a FULL POLICE ZONE. We've got helicopters from SLED and SWAT teams riding around in FULL GEAR! I'm sure Biff and Buffy will hurry right back to MB after sitting in traffic for hours to be harassed on the first day of their vacation. Way to go City of MB. You deserve the Idiots of the Century Award for this crap. However, it will be extremely interesting to see what the City of MB does NEXT WEEKEND - Memorial Day Weekend.

Hey seaside, maybe next weekend you can ride around with both tops down and the thong with no worries of a citation

I think so far practicaly all the citations have been cagers and the council are getting concerned that their safety checkpoints are backfiring on them. Just ticking off the cager tourists. And the cager locals

And the cager locals I believe you're right. The locals are hoping mad according to the local news channels and from the photos they've shown I can't see any bikers in the check points. TV15's reporter says he asked the MBPD why they did this on such a busy highway - MBPD's response, "we had the staff to do it on this busy highway".....and "it's not like it was all day"..... Jesus Please! No Barney, it was just long enough to cause enough issues to piss off the entire county and get the story picked up by the AP wire. here's the links: www.carolinalive.com/news/story.aspx?id=300435#Commentswww.scnow.com/scp/news/local/grand_strand/article/traffic_checkpoint_backs_up_beach-bound_us_501/50591/

Hey seaside, maybe next weekend you can ride around with both tops down and the thong with no worries of a citation Dang Bikers.....You just can't stop the tops down and thongs on comments. ;D Bird said I'd be safe today, since all were out of town. Seems someone's found an Internet hook up in Tennessee. Y'all have fun now, and don't let Beach chase any of dem cars. He might not realize they're moving in a circle and will come around again.... ;D ROTFLMAO! B-Safe.

Thanks for the links seaside. Nice to see in print where MBPD is pissing off local and out of town cagers. The boycott has just begun and will spread way outside of the biker community when all this gets back home with these folks

I really have no sympathy for them. They wanted heavy traffic enforcement during bike week, and they got heavy traffic enforcement during bike week. But don't sit and cry when the police hammer both you and the bikers. Especially, when the locations of the checkpoints are published ahead of time.

...However, it will be extremely interesting to see what the City of MB does NEXT WEEKEND - Memorial Day Weekend. However, the REASON thay are doing all this during the Harley Rally is so they can do THE SAME (using their own chickensh*t bow-to-the-NAACP logic) during the Bikefest/Freaknik NEXT week. And, as we ALL know to be completely UNDENIABLE - the REAL PROBLEM ALL ALONG WAS THE BIKEFEST/FREAKNIK!

And the cager locals I feel that EVERY time a media source presents a "number of citations issued during the Harley Rally" report - a MASSIVE FEEDBACK should be sent to that media source DEMANDING that the reporting agency provide a BREAKDOWN of the violations by motorcycle/motorcyclists versus other modes of transportation and vehicle operators/occupants.

I agree! This should be easy enough for any of them to do, they have the information from every traffic stop. I also think that under the Freedom of Information Act the public should be given this information (perhaps, a real media source might pick up on this minor little FEDERAL law and request the info). Just a thought Most of the traffic stops I witnessed were by State Highway Patrol officers. They seemed to be enjoying their jobs (authority) this past week. Let's hope they get some rest before Friday. Sounds like they're going to have their hands full with all of these additional traffic check points and the large number of attendees expected next weekend.

And, as we ALL know to be completely UNDENIABLE - the REAL PROBLEM ALL ALONG WAS THE BIKEFEST/FREAKNIK! SO TRUE!! I saw the transcripts from the previous lawsuits on this issue. I'm sure Toad would sh*t his panties if he had to testify to anything he's done or caused. However, this not-so-bright group of council members apparently hasn't taken their own customer service courses. Like I said, every customer who has a bad experience with your business, will tell 10 of their friends about it. Those 10 will in turn tell another 10 and so on. The story may get distorted, but the fact that they were harassed and made to feel unwelcome will surely remain the focal point. I guess Randall Wallace was right when he said, (outside of one of the meetings on this issue at Broadway at the Beach) "we can't legally tell people not to come here, but we can make it so hard on them that they'll never want to come back"! Well Randall, you get today's golf clap.....I think you can also look in the mirror and tell yourself you had a part in killing Myrtle Beach. These people heard what you said and now they're on their own marketing campaign. Raise all the taxes you want. There's no amount of money that can undo the damage you people have done to this city.

So here's a question - Who's monitoring the AB Bikefest for "fair enforcement"? Who will sue on behalf of the Harley riders that were discriminated against when they issue so fewer citations during ABBW? Who will raise a stink in the media, courts, and city council when they don't do roadblocks during that mess? Who will organize protests when the city doesnt crack down on the ABBW/Freaknik bunch, like they did on us? The Harley rally isn't supported by the NAACP, so what national organization will help us? I feel awful for all of the local business owners who were hurt by the lack of business caused by the rally, but where were they last fall?

The deal is the cops are afraid of the black bikers so they let just about everything go because the cops will either get swarmed, sued or beaten. The NAACP is eager to get their hooks into anyone they can so everyone walks on egg shells. No one has the balls to kick their ass so they get away with murder and that should answer your question.
