I see this as Restraint of Trade / Interstate Commerce issues however if MB can threaten anyone that they feel costs them money then the Horry County Businesses can sue MB for Loss of Business as a direct result of their admitted actions. Their losses will be in the Hundreds of Millions..It has been well documented why many will not be coming for Bike Week or Any other time. Also well documented is the Local Sentiment of NOT A DIME IN 09. I would think that would be the last thing MB would be talking about when one looks at the Pro's verses Cons. Given the propensity from BOOST and their 500 plus members one in MB would be well advised to table the whole issue.

Did they even talk about the ordinance? I haven't read a thing about it. Oh Mayor Bird, enlighten us! On another note, is it legal to carry a firearm from state to state if you are legally licensed in your home state?

Range I need to get that shirt. Might have to add it to the ibiker line.
Classic Check with sled and they can tell you what states honor each others carry permit. If you have a residence in SC or NC you can carry in your vehicle under the Castle Doctrine.

At the council meeting today they mentioned that t hey had 1 mill put aside for law suites, but are not sure if that will handle it. Also at times they mentioned that they did not know if they would be on council next year or a new team. Either way it was nice to watch them squirm. What was discussed about the ordinances? I tried to catch it on TV but they didnt show it up here.. The tv said they had something to vote on but was not specific and of course the un news dont tell you anything..

SC honors the following state's CCW permits, but only if they are Resisdent permits.
AK, AR, AZ, FL, KS, KY, LA, MI, MO NC, OH, TX, TN, VA, WV, WY
So, if you have a PA permit nope.

I didn't mean to "hijack" the thread with my previous post, but now feel obligated to note that there are several specific ways in which you can legally carry a handgun in your vehicle - including on a motorcycle - even for out-of-state residents - without a permit. There is also a way and specific conditions in which you can carry concealed on your person without a permit if you are staying at a place of lodging where you have paid an accommodations tax.
Unfortunately, many LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS don't know these; Myrtle Beach Police especially have a history of being ignorant of them.
I'm preparing to go on duty now and don't have time to post the specifics or find a link to where I've explained this on other sites, but will post all - including links to the actual laws - after I get off duty late tonight.

Rangemaster will get back on this in detail but, in SC, you can carry in your car, truck, bike a loaded weapon even if you do not have a carry permit. It must be in an enclosed compartment like a glovebox, console compartment, saddlebag. The compartment does not have to be locked.
