Man when are these clowns going to get a life? Do they really think they are going to sue everyone that says the rally is on??? More of Murder Beaches hard earned tax $$ at work!!! The council will also consider clarifying language in two of the amendments to city code it approved last year as part of an effort to curb the effects of the May motorcycle rallies on the city. The first draft of the amendments before the council today define an event promoter as anyone who conducts, manages, promotes, organizes, aids or solicits attendance at an event. The city last year approved an ordinance saying it can hold rally promoters and sponsors fiscally responsible for disproportionate law enforcement or other public resources for the rallies that annually generate complaints about traffic, reckless driving, lewd behavior and trash. If you go What | Myrtle Beach City Council workshop When | 9 a.m. today Where | First-floor conference room at City Hall, 937 Broadway What | Myrtle Beach City Council meeting When | 2 p.m. today Where | Council Chambers in the Ted C. Collins Law Enforcement Center, Oak Street and Mr. Joe White Avenue To watch the city council meeting on television, go to Time-Warner Cable channel 15 or Horry Telephone Cooperative channel 9.

So, do you think Wayne Gray will hang his "Welcome Bikers" signs at the Spring House restaurants this year? He always had his signs up and was against bikers all the way....except for their money.

Ok Guys, Help me out, remember that I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Question, Does Aid and Solicit mean that ANY business that say's welcome bikers such as hotels, Clothing stores that sell Biker shirts or leather shops, resturants, shoe stores that may sell leather boots? If these type places say Welcome Bikers they could be made to pay for additional services?

If you say welcome bikers or promote the festivities or sell stuff that says MB Bike week etc you are getting sued so the next suit I see coming is MB vs Horry county??

I'm really having second thoughts about even trying to ride thru MB... With all the A/R People and the clowncil I might get bumped into by someone and their STUPID might rub off on me.... It seems to be spreading faster than the FLU down there..... And the only cure is to get on 2 wheels and let the wind blow it off....... ;D ;D

At the council meeting today they mentioned that t hey had 1 mill put aside for law suites, but are not sure if that will handle it. Also at times they mentioned that they did not know if they would be on council next year or a new team. Either way it was nice to watch them squirm.

I'm sure the City can't charge someone for promoting an event out of the city....and if the shirt says MB Bike Rally...thats not promoting a CITY event....If the city thinks they can have that much control..I'm sure 1mil. isn't enough in there legal fund. And I am glad they are seeing the handwriting on the wall.....I just don't see how any of those can get re-elected BIRD FOR MAYOR

These buthoes are grabbing every straw they can imagine to try to further complicate things and if by chance they hang on to office long enough hopefully regain through fines what they have cost the city in honest revenue, without regard to the impact it has had on the common folks. They are in for a rude awakening come judgement day
