I haven't seen it myself but it has been told to me that Mayor Rhodes is in a TV commercial with a custom motorcycle to be given away. Here is a link to the event: www.grandedunes.com/MAW/rideforawish.aspxI clicked on the "Contact Us' link and asked the following question": "Is the custom motorcycle that is being given away compliant to the city of Myrtle Beach's noise level standards?" You know this one has straight pipes. Can they give something away that is downright illegal to operate? Feel free to ask questions and see if anyone gets a response.

BTW, didn't see any reference to a bike being donated for this cause, so maybe one of the PL crowd had to give theirs up. LOL!

Maybe if they get the same question quoting the ordinance chapter article and section, many many times over, they will cancel the event (or at least, the $200 a pop raffle), and Rhodes will look like more of an idiot to even the blue-hair crowd... Even better - Rhodes starts up the bike, and one of his security detail (does he have one?) writes him a ticket on camera, and impounds the bike.

ams that would be too funny. Tell the winner you gotta push it out of the City. We need to write Mark Kruea and get his response.

I got a reply from Mike Burkhouse; occ chopper; stating they sold the Bike to a Company called AHEAD and they have nothing to do with this promotion. The Grand Dunes won the Bike for selling the most AHEAD product.

I can see why they had to buy a bunch of it. The mayor and council has their "AHEAD" up their Arses.
