This is what happens when people of small minds and no vision pass arbitrary and capricious laws without any thought to the concequences.

I think the pastor of the church was correct when he said he didn't realize they were doing anything wrong...just as I think lots of folks are going to be amazed at what these ordinances ban...but on the other hand thats what we need is for ALL folks to see how the city has taken it upon themselves to violate peoples right..ie THE CONSTITUTION...freedom to worship..right to congregate. I bet God was ashamed at that, and of all Sunday's..Easter I wonder if the mayor will make an exception as he did for the ballpark? Doubt it, he has no soul...but I will pray for him!

OH NO! The City of MB has hit rock bottom now! I can't believe they broke up an Easter Sunday CHURCH gathering. However, the officers are just doing their jobs by enforcing the city's laws. Gees, did any other group get nabbed during the sunrise services down on the beach??

I hope that made National News because that's about as low as any city can stoop. This could drive off some religious groups if they think that Myrtle Beach is not religion friendly. The fact that it was Easter Sunday makes it for a more sensitive issue. Had to be friends of the Mayor, City Council or "Take May Back" group that blew them it.

Beach Pathetic is the only thing that comes to mind. Saw the Mayor on SCNOW tonight being interviewed by Thema Ponton. He is such a sorry SOS. He actually said that if the residents don't pass the 1% tax the City is done and it will be the fault of the residents. Does he really believe the people here have that short of a memory....

...I can't believe they broke up an Easter Sunday CHURCH gathering. ... I can believe it - and it's just further proof that Rhodes and company are all going to Hell.

I've searched the Scum News and other news outlets and haven't seen this anywhere else. I also noticed that no mention of tickets written, just like the tailgaters.

Gees, did any other group get nabbed during the sunrise services down on the beach?? If the officers had done their jobs from the beginning, we wouldn't be in the situation that we are in right now. It's still going to be interesting to see how the laws will be enforced Memorial Day weekend.

Mayor Toads and the Clowncil are as low as snail S#%t. It is amazing how low a City government can get. However it could be a method of coving there butts in a law suit.
