The best way to find out how MB is doing the noise test, what meters they are using, how many officers are trained on the equipment is to ask them. See if they are following SAE J1287 and is so what type of meters are they using and are they using the A Weighted scale. They question is who best to ask?

Hey Bird, Range has the information on the meters they are now using. As far as testing it's still 20" away at a 45 degree angle. The meters they are using are either Casella CEL-240 @ $375 or Casella CEL-620 @ $1295. Both the meters look the same. They changed from the Radio Shack model they checked my bike with. Now I wonder what my bike really registers at!

Range/Beach Thanks for the info. Looks like the City spent some more taxpayer money. Twice in this case...

Bro, that is standard government acquisition practice. Why buy one when you can buy two for twice as much? I suspect they don't even care if the citations get tossed in "court" (wherever they eventually end up being heard). They will have already accomplished their primary purpose of harassment.

Wish I could have been there when he found out RT3, RT4, ALR and all will be back. With all the Media attention he put out I hope 100,000 are there for the Photo OP..Vroom Vroom. Its a Party and we are bringing the Noise Makers. Mark Kruea has stated in a letter I have responding to the noise the Car Club made that Parades and City Sponsored events are exempt from the noise ordinance

Car club participants should have been required to meet citys noise requirements or not have been allowed to attend

Beach Wish I knew you were there. Thank you and all there for the honor of presenting the POW/MIA flag to the DAV. Won't rest until all are present and accounted for. Going to try and make Gregs on Friday. Hope you are there. Again thank you for all you do.
