Thanks FreeBird! I posted that info on the Sun News Forum where the guys can put it on their list of things to do during the Rally. From what I can see everyday things are looking more positive for the Rally and some bikers are getting really pumped up and can't wait till May 8th. People are coming back to me on the out of state forums the same way, it's looking good!

This has been in the works for a bit but I am glad to see it happen. I too am starting to get pumped for Bike Week. It has been a long battle that is not over but We Are Winning. Neither Bike Week was canceled and will take place even tho the Mayor raised taxes on the residents 3 million dollars without a referendum and promised to end both. The Boycott of the City has forced the Horry County businesses to take a stand in support of the Rally. They were in Daytona flying banner planes and handing out fliers. All the court cases have been accepted and are moving forward. More taxes are being considered on top of the retail tax and accommodation tax already levied to make up for the shortfall. The vocal AR crowd is down to a few as more and more people see how they will be affected by this BS. MB has been exposed Nationally for its crime and unemployment issues. While we all have some different views as to how best achieve the goal, collectively what we are presently doing is working. NOT ONE DIME IN 09 ;D

I got on Big E for his last column relating the May Spring Rally to the Carolina Panthers in the 4th quarter in a losing battle. I enjoy Big E's columns usually but this time it was hurting everything all of us that are breaking our balz to make this Rally a success. People out of the area are searching for information about the Rally that come across an article like that wouldn't even think about coming here. The sad part is, the column is only a personal opinion. Allot of his followers didn't like that I challenged him but I'm not a follower, I can think for myself and can make educated decisions to benefit the majority. Later on Big E did post a note that more or less that I was right and the Rally could be a big success. I have to give him credit for that because maybe his followers will do the right thing and make the most and host the Rally!

beachbikers1, I too felt that BIG Es' article was a little off base. I posted on there that as far as my opinion is concerned, we are just in the first quarter and WE are winning.

Thanks for the support guys! He did write in a round about way that I was right but his article is still damaging. People look up to him and takes what he says as the Holy Grail. I tried a few searches on Google and he never came up so maybe it won't do much damage. Every time I've seen his column he posted it on the Sun News forum.

AD No problem. As Beach/Ahab/Classic and others have pointed out we are slowly winning. We are going to have a Rally this year and many more to come. Actually this may turn out to be one of the better ones. More places to ride and bigger event sites. Things are finally starting to come together. Thank you all for all the support

Actually this may turn out to be one of the better ones. More places to ride and bigger event sites. Things are finally starting to come together. Thank you all for all the support Bird, I have to add one more thing to the support. Most of us feel that this is a fight for freedom! Not just the motorcycle freedoms, but the freedoms that this country was based on! We fought tyranny in our history and we are fighting it again! We are fighting this war in a civil way by denying the money the tyrant needs to continue his little campaign. I personally will not give up our relentless quest to oust that tyrant out of office and have civility restored to the area! In the near future, we will be part of that region. My .01 cent (minus the 1% increase ). NOT A DIME IN 09 "BOURIG" Ride free and PROUD
