I have a friend from Charleston who just e-mailed me to say this years Myrtle Beach Rally was the best ever! She said the boycott is over, the hotels were near full and bikers were at all the restaurants and everywhere in Myrtle beach. I called her to ask how she knew. She answered that it was all over the papers. I asked if this was her first rally. She answered, "No, my second, I came last year!" So, overlooking the fact that she is a bottle blond, was the "non-rally" really as good as the newspaper and Sun news online indicated?

I didn't go to any events but was working in the City every day and I didn't see a single Hotel that was full. All had Vacancy signs. None of the restaurants I visited were packed. There were many more bike riding in the City but all in all I would say there were less then last year. South end was packed as always. HB Spokes is closing down along with a lot of others. Poo's and Swingbridge were busy. I don't think at this point it is a Rally. More like a large gathering. Thats how Bird see's it

Thats how Bird see's it Different people are saying different things but the sentiment I got is that it's a shell of what the rally once was.The usual places were busy but nothing like 4 years. We never left the south end.
