So they will now charge $3 to park at the convention center. But, they have stated that the "large" events that have been going on and have multi-year contracts will be EXEMPT.
Ahem, this will include, cough cough, Mayor Rhodes' basketball tournament.

Well of course it would be free for that event. Is there a List of events. Are they going to charge for Military Appreciation Days or the State of the City Address. Looks like one more reason not to cross the InterCoastal.

All I heard on the news was that for the "big events" that have multi year contracts, they will be free.
Never ceases to amaze me when governments will make rules but then make sure not everyone has to abide to them, they always have exceptions. And when you dig, you find the exceptions miraculously go to them and their friends.
