So whats the deal. Anybody ridin. Been working here and have had no desire to get out. People I worked with today said there are $39 and $49 Oceanfront rooms everywhere. Was told MI was right slow as well and people have said in the Un News/Fish Wrap that Shallotte HD had more Vendors then people in the afternoon time. No matter how many have come I think it is safe to say when the HD crowd said Not A Dime In 09 and Do It Again In 2010 they meant it. Blogs are suggesting the other crowd has the Hotels Booked. I hope they enjoy the Parade the City is throwing for Military Appreciation Days.

The Boss Lady & I toured the area for a bit yesterday. Barefoot landing was a bit thin, but seemed like a pretty good number of folks were visiting. We then rode to the HD dealer. Moderately busy. Large tent in back with lots of HD branded merchandise at half price. Vendors definitely well below the number in the past. The rest of the area around the car wash & iron gate very thin and sadly a shadow of the past.

I don't want to monopolize this thread, but I will anyway I guess.
Be very careful, I've been out & about on the bike, the car and even a dump truck the last few days. The people in cars are driving worse than ever, Changing lanes without looking, tailgating etc.
With fewer bikes & reduced traffic I don't understand it. Maybe its just my paranoia. Please be wary if you do go out.
I don't think that these people realize that a simple fender bender between two auto's escalates into a fatal or double fatal when a bike is involved.
