Keith and Carol. Welcome to ibiker and well put. Hopefully everyone you know will come to the Spring Rally and support us by having a Great Time and by Boycotting the City. We have as you know 60 miles of some of the most pristine beaches and riding anywhere. 31 is my new favorite road and Not A Dime In 09 my new favorite saying. Blessings Freebird

Sounds good to me. Not a Dime in 09. We could even have chapters. I even met people from as far away as Canada this past Rally. That would be a statement if 400000 people showed up with Not a Dime in 09 shirts showing how many people from so many states come here for the Rallies. Gonna have to start a SC Group. ;D

Hi to all, I'm also from Md and visit the area quite often. I ride in both the spring and fall rallies every year and have been doing so for many years. I bring my family down for vacation every year as well. So, we do spend a good bit of money at alot of the businesses in the area.I have friends that live in Surfside and have been keeping me up to date on things, which is how I found this website. I have to say that You're doing a great job getting the word out to other riders. I am also spreading the word to all I know up here on the northern side that frequent the area not to spend any money in the city limits of MB. We will continue to come down for the rallies and vacation, but not a dime will be spent in MB. Keep up thegood work, and i'll be around to keep in touch with you all. Ride safe! Kevin in Frederick Md

Hey Freebird, Thanks, and I will definitely will keep in touch with everyone. I am spreading the word up here to show up in force, but keep the money outside the city limits. If you could find the time, I think a post of all the biker friendly businesses would be good. I'm sure it would take some time to do it, but I think we'd all be able to better serve the business community if we know who is behind us and who we need to turn our backs on. Ride safe! Kevin

Hey everyone -
Just a quick note to say hello. I'm Anita, I live and own a small business in Little River, SC. We love bikers on the north side, too!
I stopped patronizing Myrtle Beach the minute I heard of the anti-rally agenda. And, I won't return until the sentiment has reversed.
I read the MB bikers forum for years and finally registered to assist with the pro rally movement. (We have a great bunch of bikers along the Grand Strand!)
Now, I've found - and registered with - ibikers and it's another excellent avenue to express ideas relating to biker issues! Awesome site here, guys!!
Kev, there is a listing of biker friendly businesses posted on the old MB biker forum. And, there was a Fall Rally Map, put out by Thunder, with biker friendly establishments pinpointed along the Strand.
It'd be nice to see a listing here. OK, Freebird, you're hopeless on the pooter....smile. Perhaps your brother could set up a listing for all to print.
For the out-of-towners - you are more than welcome to visit the Grand Strand. Don't let the "colorful people" - i.e. blue haired, green shirts, black attitudes - turn you away. We on the north and south side of Myrtle Beach look forward to seeing you every year!
Don't let them win...bike rallies have just as much right as any other event to be held on the Strand.
Be Safe! Anita

Hey anita, Thanks for the invite for next years spring rally. We are definitely coming along with a group of people. And as everybody should be doing for next years' rally, "NOT ONE DIME in 09"! We will be spending our money all around the city of Myrtle Beach. Hopefully we can all hook up some where.
Ride safe and keep the rubber side down 07 FLHTC rider, Keith and Carol

Hey Anita, Welcome and thanks for the info. We all should definitely get together in the spring and ride together with our "Not a Dime in 09" shirts on! Maybe we could round up some of those old election signs and turn them over and paint the slogan on them and drop them around the city , and put one every 10 feet around the Mayor's house...lol.
Ride safe, Kevin

Mike is gradually improving but we don't have him trained just yet. If you have a list handy that you'd like to see posted to the site, feel free to send it along to me at webmaster@ibiker.org and I'll make it available for all on the site. In the mean time, I post links and info to the Recommended page anytime Mike sends them along to me. Others are always welcome to make recommendations as well! Regards, Bro1

I may not live down there but i do have family down there with vested intrests in what happens down there to bikers and i think the new ordinances are dumb, unnecessary, unresonable, and a rediculous attack on bikers. I think all bikers should unite and fight them.
Thats just my two cents. Keep the painted side up. Ryan McDonald
